The short version. You can read everything on this site without giving us anything. We ask for an email only if you choose to follow along or apply for a professional listing. We use no third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell your information. We do not store your IP address — only a one-way hash of it.

What we collect, and when
Three things, each tied to something you do. Nothing else.

3. Basic usage analytics
We record a small, fixed set of events so we can tell which lessons and tools are actually used: page views, video plays, PDF downloads, QR views, call-to-action clicks, completed quizzes, calculator use, and successful sign-ups. With each event we store the page path, the referring URL, your user-agent, and a hashed IP.
These analytics are first-party — they go to our own database. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker on this site. The list of events is fixed in code; the site cannot record anything outside it.
About that IP hash
We never write your IP address down. It is combined with a secret value and run through SHA-256, and we keep only the first 24 characters of the result — something like a3f9c1…. It is useful for spotting repeat abuse from the same source; it is not usable to identify you or look you up.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We do not ask for financial account details. Any calculator or tool on this site runs on numbers you type in for that session. We are not a financial institution and have no reason to hold your account data.
- We do not send unsolicited email. You only hear from us if you asked to.
Who else touches your data
We keep the list short on purpose. Data is stored in our own database hosted on Microsoft Azure, and the site itself is served from Azure. If we use an email delivery provider to send lessons you subscribed to, they process your address solely to deliver that mail. That is the extent of it — no analytics vendors, no ad networks, no data enrichment services.
How long we keep things
- Subscriber emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Professional listing applications: for as long as the listing is active, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Analytics events: retained in aggregate. They are not linked to your identity.
Your choices
Email support@vesmg.com and we will act on any of these:
- See what we hold about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete it. Say the word and your email and any listing come out.
- Stop hearing from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask.
Depending on where you live — for example California, or the EU/UK — you may have these rights by law. We would rather just honour them for everyone than check your postcode first.
Children
This site is meant for adults making financial decisions. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will remove it.
Security — stated honestly
The site is served over HTTPS, the database is not publicly reachable, and we deliberately collect as little as possible — the strongest protection for data is not holding it. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we are not going to claim otherwise.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects subscribers, we will say so by email rather than quietly editing the page.
